Retailers are using digital to better understand and connect with customers, according to the latest study by JDA.
The survey showed this will be retailers’ main priority, with nearly 7 in 10 (69%) of executives saying they plan to increase their investment in digital transformation over the next year.
However, over 52% have not defined or started implementing a digital transformation strategy yet. Chinese retailers are at the forefront of digitalization efforts, and are 58% more likely to be implementing their defined digital transformation strategy than the US (40%).
Mobile-enabled applications (85%), big data (86%) and use of social media data (85%) are the other top technologies that survey respondents said they will be investing in or plan to over the next 12 months.
