Samsung has launched loyalty programme Samsung Rewards in a bid to promote usage of its mobile wallet.
The loyalty scheme gives users points and categorizes them based on how often they use their mobile wallet, giving them a tiered status, much like an airline’s frequent-flyer scheme.
The points can then be redeemed for Samsung products, gift cards or prepaid Samsung Visa cards.
Samsung’s aim is to increase engagement with the technology and set itself apart from Android Pay and other mobile wallet ecosystems.
