Google has released a set of APIs for its new Android Pay payment solution that should speed up the deployment of NFC-enabled devices used to make contactless payments.
The Android Instant Apps offer users the means to pay in-app using Android Pay. The firm will also enable developers to integrate the function into apps through the new Android Pay API. This enables developers to sell goods and services in regions where the mobile payment service is offered.
The API keeps a record of the payment information and can identify new payment info as the user enters it on a website and offers this as a default next time you visit that website.
Making developer access easier could see the service expand and NFC deployment increase.
